On this website you can see a selection of works created between 1998 and the present day. The artworks vary in technique and size, although most are acrylic paintings on canvas.
Many of the paintings and illustrations have a figurative character, with a strong emphasis on color, form, and the subtle nuances between different elements of the composition.
Throughout his work, one can see and feel a distinctive harmony between space and figures, light and shadow, expressed in a subtle and almost naïve manner. The subjects of the more recent paintings are often recognizable scenes from contemporary life—situations and experiences that people encounter in their everyday lives.
These moments are portrayed with a strong sense of spatial composition and atmosphere. The motifs and visual elements can be seen as reflections of the artist himself. The painted environments resemble theatrical stages, creating a powerful impression on the viewer. There appears to be an ongoing interaction between the spectator, the artwork, and the present moment, inviting personal interpretation and engagement.
This interaction gives the work a sense of immediacy and mystery, encouraging the viewer to become part of the scene rather than merely observing it.
From these acrylic paintings on canvas, several series of everyday stories have emerged, each consisting of four paintings. Every scene is placed within its own distinct environment, with a strong emphasis on contrasts in color, light, and shadow, continuing the artist's style and ideas within a broader context.
These works have been created using mixed-media techniques, allowing for a richer visual language and greater expressive freedom. Through the combination of materials, textures, and layered imagery, the paintings explore the relationship between people, space, and atmosphere.
The series invites viewers to discover familiar moments from everyday life while finding their own meanings and interpretations within the scenes. I hope you will enjoy viewing these works as much as I enjoyed creating them.
